Rex is a handsome 2-year-old red Cattle Dog mix searching for a calm, understanding home where he can truly thrive. Surrendered through no fault of his own, this sweet boy is ready for a second chance with someone who can offer him companionship and the right environment.
Rex has lived a fairly sheltered life, so the big wide world can feel overwhelming at times. He’s not fearful, just easily overstimulated, which means he’s best suited to a quieter home away from busy suburban streets, cafés, and high-traffic areas. A property or large yard would be ideal, giving him space to feel comfortable and secure.
At home, Rex is a completely different dog—calm, affectionate, and eager to connect with his people. He takes instruction well, enjoys learning, and loves a good play session. He’s crate trained, enjoys the water, and has been friendly when meeting new people at his own pace.
Rex could happily live with a well-matched female dog and is suitable for families with children over 12 years old. With patience and understanding, Rex will make a loyal and rewarding companion for the right home.
