Meet Alvin, the boldest and brightest spark of the Chipmunk trio. He’s the first to explore, the first to pounce, and the first to decide that your lap is now his personal throne. Alvin has that cheeky, confident charm that makes you laugh even when he’s being just a tiny bit naughty — in the cutest possible way.

He’s playful, energetic, and full of personality, but he’s also incredibly affectionate. Once he’s done zooming around, he melts into cuddles like he’s been waiting for that moment all day. Alvin is the perfect match for someone who loves a kitten with spirit, sweetness, and a whole lot of character.

Betty Boop has been living it up in foster care where she has been receiving lots of love, but now she really wants to join a home of her very own.

She's currently living with cats and dogs so she's well socialised and would love to join a home with other animals to play with and keep her company.

Betty Boop is a fun little pup who loves water and enjoys a dip in the pool so she'd love a home that would include adventures like camping trips, or beach days. ⛱️

Toilet training is underway but she's still little so she does need a little more time and patience before ages got it fully covered. She's crate trained and will happily stay in her crate when she's home alone, enjoying a nice comfy space of her own.

Betty Boop came to us via the pound so we don't have any information on her prior to that, we aren't sure who her parents were but it's very likely they were heavily mixed and include lots of different breeds. We can't confidently say what size she'll be but you can expect a medium-ish sized dog, give or take a little.

If you'd like to meet Betty Boop we can arrange a meet once an application has come through, otherwise we can organise a phone call with her carers if you're a bit further away.

Blackberry

Sweet, irresistible, and guaranteed to leave you wanting more, meet Blackberry!

Much like her namesake, Blackberry is a delightful little package bursting with charm. Whether she's busy exploring her surroundings, finding the comfiest spot in the house, or reminding you that cuddles are an important part of every day, she approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Living in foster care with a loving family has given us the chance to get to know Blackberry's personality and help her settle into home life. Foster care means we can share valuable insights about her likes, dislikes, and what helps her feel comfortable and confident.

Blackberry enjoys spending time with her people and will happily be involved in whatever you're doing. She has a wonderful mix of playful energy and affectionate moments, making her a lovely companion for a variety of households.

As SAFE is a foster-based rescue, we don't have a shelter you can visit. However, that doesn't stop you from meeting Blackberry. Simply submit an adoption application and we can arrange a meet and greet so you can get to know this lovely girl in person.

If you're looking for a cat who's equal parts sweet, fun, and full of personality, Blackberry could be the missing ingredient in your home.

Brighton is part of our Temu German Shepherd litter. Apparently there's some German Shepherd and Ridgeback in hier Grandfather, but somewhere along the way something very small has inserted themselves into the gene pool and Brighton has inherited the little stumpy legs, making her look extra adorable!

Originally from a home where she part of a very large pack, she's settled right into the calmer lifestyle of foster carer and is thriving with some more one on one attention. She is used to living with dogs of various sizes and would love to join a home where she'll have a doggy companion who can help her adjust to her new home.

She's currently in foster care with some kids and loves to hang out and play with them. When she's finished playing she enjoys snuggling on the couch and getting all the belly rubs she can! There has been some big changes for Brighton and she's still adjusting to her new life and figuring out the toilet training, but she's trying really hard! She'd love to join a family that will allow her to be included in their everyday life.

If you're local to the Port Hedland area are we can arrange a meet and greet, or if you're a bit further away we can arrange a call with his carers.

These guys are full of puppy charm! They have the most adorable puppy smiles that will melt your heart as soon as you look at them. 😍 They are confident, fun, energetic pups that have so much love to offer and are looking for someone who they can smother with their affection. Could it be you?

They are currently living with a big dog who they get along really well with. They love playing with her so they'd love to join a home with another fun dog who will play with them and match their puppy energy.

Cactus and Canyon are brothers that came to us via the pound so we don't have any history on them and no details on their parents. We could guess that there is some staffy in there but we honestly don't know. Their age is an estimate and we have no idea on predicted size, so you'll need to be prepared for something medium-ish but not be too bothered if they grow a little more or a little less than expected.

If you're in Port Hedland we can arrange a meet and greet once and application has been submitted, if you're from out of town we can arrange a phone call instead.

Cappa is the gentle soul of the trio — a soft‑natured little girl who watches the world with calm curiosity before joining in. She loves a warm lap, quiet pats, and the kind of slow, steady affection that makes her purr like a tiny engine.

She’s playful without being chaotic, affectionate without being demanding, and wonderfully easy to love. Cappa would suit almost any home, from first‑time cat families to those wanting a relaxed, loving companion.

If you’re after a kitten with a sweet temperament and a heart full of softness, Cappa is your girl.

Meet Dior - Located in Perth

Dior is a gorgeous bundle of floof with a talent for making biscuits and proudly holding the record for the loudest purr in the house. This sweet girl loves gentle morning and evening scritches and will happily curl up on her foster parents’ bed at night, soaking up the comfort of being close to her people.

While Dior enjoys affection, she is also an independent soul who likes to quietly keep you company by following you around the house rather than spending all day on your lap. During the daytime, she may retreat to a cosy hiding spot under the bed or dining table, especially if startled by fast movements or loud noises, so she would thrive in a calm and quieter home environment.

Dior still has a playful kitten side and enjoys games and exploring. She gets along well with other cats, knows how to use a cat flap, and absolutely loves chasing butterflies in the sunshine.

Being foster cared for means we have had the opportunity to learn all about Dior’s personality and what will help her settle successfully into a new home. She is now ready to find a loving, understanding family who will appreciate her gentle nature and give her the patience and security she needs to continue blossoming.

If you think Dior could be the missing piece in your home, please submit an adoption application and we can arrange a meet and greet with her foster family.

We might not know anything about Dorothy's past, but we do know her future is brighter!

Somehow Dorothy ended up in the local pound, and that's how she made her way to SAFE Hedland. She was extremely timid and nervous, she had clearly never walked on a lead before and trusting people was a bit risky. She was terrified to walk on a lead and it ook a lot of effort to get her walk through the carers front door, inside isn't something that brings her joy or comfort, even now.

Dorothy's carers have worked hard to gain her trust and build her confidence, but it was the resident dog that really helped her settle in and gave her the reassurance she needed to feel safe in her foster home. She's not the biggest fan of toys and would much rather a big playful doggy friend to play with. She absolutely adores her foster brother, they play all night and even cuddle up to sleep together. She would thrive in a home with another doggy companion who could help her settle in and keep her company.

She was initially scared of the child in the house, but he was sure to win her over and spent time every day building a bond with her until he won her over, proving that with a little time and patience is all that's needed.

Dorothy is ready to head off to her new home and is looking for someone who understands that life hasn't always been kind, so sometimes it takes her a little while to feel relaxed, but she is the sweetest girl and will shine in a home that gives her the time she needs to settle in.

If you're local to Hedland we can set up a meet and greet with Dorothy so you can see for yourself just how beautiful she really is, just send through an application and we'll arrange it. If you're not in town we can arrange a phone call with her foster carers who can chat in more detail about Dorothy.

Dusty | An eager hello and a heart full of love

Dusty likes to make an entrance, preferably followed by a hello, a lick and some attention! This affectionate, playful boy is located in Hedland and is looking for a loving home through SAFE’s owner assisted adoption program. He remains with his owner while we help him find his next chapter.

Eager to please and keen to learn, Dusty has built quite a collection of skills. He knows sit, down, wait, heel, stay and several other commands. He is toilet trained, enjoys car rides and is described by his owner as having good house manners. Ask him to stay on his bed and he understands the assignment!

Dusty has medium energy and responds well to activities that get his brain working. A home offering regular walks, playtime and companionship would give him more opportunities to enjoy the things he loves. His owner has put considerable care into his training and wants him to have more activity than they can currently provide.

He greets people and other dogs enthusiastically, so continued support with calm greetings will help, especially when his excitement turns into jumping up. He has not lived with children and has not been tested with cats. Introductions to any resident dogs can be arranged to see how they get along.

Dusty previously found time alone difficult, but his owner reports he has become much more settled. A gradual introduction to his new home and routine will help him feel comfortable as he adjusts.

Could Dusty be your new walking buddy and enthusiastic welcoming committee? Submit an adoption application through SAFE Hedland and we can arrange a meet and greet with his owner.

Meet Eadda, a spunky and sassy tabby kitten who’s got plenty of personality packed into her tiny frame! Eadda is confident, curious, and never shy about letting you know what she wants. She’s a little firecracker, always ready for adventure and always with a bit of attitude - whether she’s chasing after toys, pouncing on anything that moves, or showing off her playful side with some cheeky kitten antics.

While Eadda may have a sassy streak, don’t let that fool you - she’s also a sweet and loving kitten at heart. She may be a bit independent, but she’s quick to show affection when she’s in the mood, and once she’s comfortable, she’ll happily curl up next to you for some quality cuddle time. Her playful nature and bold personality make her a joy to be around, and she’ll keep you entertained with her kitten mischief and fiery spirit.

Eadda would do best in a home where she can keep her sassy little self entertained and engaged, whether it’s with plenty of toys to bat around, a cozy spot to nap in, or a human who can match her playful energy. She’s ready to find a family who loves her lively personality and is prepared for all the fun (and sass) she’ll bring.

If you’re looking for a confident, energetic kitten who’s equal parts sass and sweetness, Eadda is the one for you!

Echo is a gentle little soul who brings a calm, easy-going vibe wherever she goes. She enjoys playing with her foster siblings, then happily wanders off to find a cosy spot to relax and recharge.

This lovely girl is all about balance. She’s playful when the mood strikes, but just as content taking things slow and enjoying a good nap. Snacks are definitely high on her priority list, and she has a favourite tinsel ball that she proudly carries around like it’s her prized treasure. She'll happy entertain herself throughout the day but as soon as a blankie comes out or someone hops into bed she'll be the first one up for a snuggle. When she's happy to see you she'll song you a sweet little song. 🎶

Echo is great with other cats and is not fazed by new cats entering home, she's very laid back and takes it all in her stride. She's even cool calm and collected when she's travelling in the car to see the vet!

Echo is currently in foster care with a loving family, which means we’re able to understand her personality and what suits her best. She can be met by submitting an adoption application, and we can arrange a meet and greet so you can get to know her properly.

Fig came into care with his Mum, Fudge and his Aunty Sushi, along with his siblings. This was a super close family and Mum and Aunty both shared the role of raising their kittens.

Mum has done a great job raising her babies and now it's time for her to be desexed and her babies to go off to homes of their own. His 2 siblings have already been adopted and now we really want Fig to find his home too.

Fig has been living in care with other cats and some children. He's still a young kitten so given a little time to settle in he should adjust to any home.

Jinx may be big, but he's a big softie! He is a super affectionate guy who just loves people. He can't get enough of them and wants to be included in everything! Where ever you are, what ever you're doing he wants to be part of the action with you.

He loves adventures and needs a home that's commited to a more active dog and will give him the daily exercise he needs. At minimum he loves a good walk, but ideally he wants to go on regular adventures like beach trips, camping trips, bush hikes, anything to keep him physically and mentally stimulated. He doesn't want to be shut outside and left alone for long periods, he needs real companionship and to be part of everyday family life where he can thrive.

Due to his large size and excited personality he would be best suited to older children as sometimes he can be a little bit bouncy and may knock over smaller children.

Jinx has had some training and is toilet trained, somewhat crate trained and knows some basic commands like, sit, stay, and wait for food. He's very good oriented so with a family that can invest the time into him, he can perfect these skills and will learn many more.

He's currently fostered in the Port Hedland area and is available for a meet greet, or if you're further away we can arrange a FaceTime.

Freya was a stray cat living life on the streets of South Hedland when someone cared enough about her to change the path she was on. We're not sure how many kittens Freya has had, but we know there won't be anymore for this lady, she can now rest and recover from her street days and focus on being a lady of leisure around the house. We know she'll excell at that!

If you can open up your heart and your home to Freya, she will be forever grateful and spend her days repaying you with love.

By adopting Freya, you're not just saving her life, you're saving future kittens from living a life of misery by helping us to desex this mumma, and then opening a spot for the next one waiting, and there are so many waiting for us to help them.

Meet Geode, a gentle little gemstone with a playful streak and a heart full of sweetness. She’s curious, affectionate, and always ready to explore before settling in for a cuddle.

Geode has been thriving with her carer, showing confidence, friendliness, and a love for anything that jingles or rolls. She enjoys company and interactive play, if you’re looking for a bright, loving kitten who will bring warmth and joy into your life, Geode is ready to meet you.

Gidgy, now known as Buster is on the lookout for a new home.

Buster loves the indoor life and has fre access inside and outside, preferring to be inside part of the family. He likes the creature comforts, like a nice cozy bed to sleep on and some aircon. He's content to hangout inside while you're away at work but when you're home he'd love to be by your side.

He knows some basic commands and when it's time for his food he'll happily spin around in excitement. His humans describe him as a funny little guy that is full of character and will have you laughing at his antics.

Buster is a compact medium size boy. He's too big for your handbag but he's still a great little size to pack into your car and take on adventures. He likes to hang by the pool while his humans swim and whilst he doesn't jump all the way in, he'll splash about in the shallows for his ball, so he'd love the opportunity to get out and explore some more or the world.

He's been getting picked on for a while from his doggy brother and as heartbreaking as it is for his family, they've come to realise that it just isn't the right place for Buster anymore. He needs a home where he's free to shine and live his best life like the little star that he is. 🌟 He's happily lived with female dogs and would be ok as an only dog or with a female doggy companion.

Buster is located in the Hedland area and is currently available to foster to adopt.

Meet Hahn 🐾

Hahn is back with us and ready to find his next adventure, through no fault of his own… unless you count a cheeky habit of “borrowing” the odd item here and there. Nothing major, just a pup with a curious streak and a talent for collecting treasures, so no need to call the police 😉

This older pup has already done some of the growing up part and is now at that great age where his personality really shines. He brings a lovely mix of playfulness and companionship, with just enough mischief to keep life interesting.

Hahn is currently in foster care with a loving family, where we’re learning more about what makes him tick and how to set him up for success. With a bit of guidance, consistency and some fun enrichment to keep his mind busy, he’s going to thrive.

He would suit a home that can embrace his cheeky side, keep things engaging for him and continue helping him learn what’s his and what’s not.

If you’re looking for a dog with character, charm and a touch of harmless mischief, Hahn might just be your perfect match.

He can be met by sending through an adoption application, and we can arrange a meet and greet from there. Because he’s in foster care, we can share insights into his personality and help you understand what he needs to settle in.

Sweet little JC is looking for his new best friend. Could it be you?

JC has been exposed to lots of people and loves them all, the tiny and the big! His favourite place is curled right up close on your chest, where he'll purr contently drowning out all your worries. He's always been around other cats so gets on really well with other feline companions and would happily join a family with another cat. He hasn't been exposed to dogs, but he's still very young and adaptable, so as long as your pooch can be respectful of a tiny kitties personal space he should do well in a home with a doggy pal too.

If you would like to find out more about JC simply fill out an adoption enquiry and we can arrange an obligation free chat with his carer or set up a meet and greet where we know JC will steal you heart. Simply fill out a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form as follows:

Meet Mochi (formerly Jhito) - Owner assisted adoption

Mochi is looking for a very particular type of home, and we want to be completely transparent about her personality and needs so the right match can be found.

Mochi is an extremely independent cat who prefers to simply exist alongside people rather than interact closely with them. She is not affectionate, does not enjoy cuddles or handling, and generally only seeks human attention around feeding time. If pushed beyond her comfort zone, she can swipe or bite to make her boundaries very clear.

She has also shown that she does not enjoy sharing her environment with other cats and has not bonded with the resident cat in her current home. At times, when unhappy or frustrated, Mochi has displayed inappropriate toileting behaviours, including weeing or pooing outside the litter tray.

Because of this, Mochi will need an understanding, adult-only home with somebody experienced in reading cat behaviour and willing to accept her for who she is without expectations of affection or companionship. She is not suited to children or a busy household environment.

While Mochi is not an easy cat, we know there are people out there who genuinely appreciate independent cats that simply want a safe space to live life on their own terms. She may never be a lap cat, but she still deserves a home where her boundaries are respected and her needs are understood.

This is an owner-assisted adoption, and we are focused on finding the right environment for Mochi moving forward.

Kova is a true crowd favourite with a personality that’s hard to resist. He’s the best of both worlds, playful and social with other cats, while also being incredibly affectionate with his humans. He has no fear and will make instant friends with any new foster animal that enters the house.

If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, Kova is your guy. Once you start patting him, he’ll happily curl up and stay by your side, sharing plenty of purrs and sweet smooches along the way.

When it’s time to play, Kova is right in the middle of the action. You’ll find him jumping, pouncing and rolling around with his feline friends, making the most of every moment.

He’s also a confident little adventurer who takes new experiences in his stride, approaching life with curiosity and ease.

Kova is currently in foster care with a loving family, which means we have a great understanding of his personality and what will suit him best. He can be met by submitting an adoption application, and we can arrange a meet and greet so you can get to know him properly.

Lilo is the absolute sweetest little girl and we're so happy she made her way into our care so we can help her find the home she deserves.

She's only just entered care so we're still getting to know her, but she's already stealing the hearts of everyone who meets her. She loves to snuggle and so far has been a quite girl. She travels well in the car.

Lilo loves kids! She obviously knows that's where she'll get lots of attention from.

Some cats take a moment to settle into a new environment, not MJ! She steps right out of her carrier into her new world like she's always ruled there. 👸🏼

MJ is a playful kitty who also lives to snuggle. She's been exposed to lots of different people and isn't fazed by anyone, including kids. She is dog social but does like her boundaries to be respected.

She's currently in short term foster care and will need a new place to crash so she's looking for either an adoptive home or a foster home, possibly with a view to adopt.

Meatloaf demands to be noticed. During an inspection of a vacant house, Meatloaf was waiting to greet the people and then proceeded to wander inside like he owned the place - warning, he doesn't pay rent or contribute to the mortgage!

This guy is a big smooch and was all over everyone. He really made an impression and the people didn't want to leave him behind on the streets so they drove him to the rangers hoping he could be reunited with his owner. Meatloaf wasn't microchipped and no owner could be located so he's come to SAFE to start his next chapter. He'll be desexed so he can't contribute to the overpopulation of stray cats, as handsome as he is we definitely don't need any ore roaming cats here in Hedland.

He is quite the character and will happily ride shotgun in the car! Though we definitely don't encourage unrestrained cats in the car. We can't wait to get to know his personality better, we just know there'll be lots of funny stories coming from his carers.

Mimi came to us from the pound as a girl but turns out Mimi is actually Mr Mimi. 😂 Her fluffy bottom was hiding a little surprise for us.

Mr Mimi has only just entered foster care so we don't know too much about him, but we do know he's a big fluff ball of cuddles who is constantly making biscuits. He won over the pound staff with his sweet personality and as soon as he was free he started making friends with some kids. He's currently fostered as an only cat but he briefly saw some some other felines from a distance and made no reaction, so we think he'd be happy to share his home.

If you'd like to find out more about Mr Mimi, you can send through an application and we can arrange a phone call with his carer or a meet greet if you're local to the Hedland area.

Miss Scarlett is one of our little Cluedo babies. The only mystery surrounding these pups is who the parents were. We suspect there's some American Staffy in there somewhere, but the rest of the breeds are a mystery, one that may never be solved. 🕵🏼‍♀️

If you're looking to add a fun loving, playful girl to your life, Miss Scarlett could be the one for you! Her favourite things to do are playing tug and then smothering you with love. She's looking for a home that is ready to embrace the chaos of puppyhood and reap the many years of love that come after. As she's still a pup, she'll need a family that is committed to putting in the time and effort to train her, ensuring she grows up to be the best girl dog there ever was. 🩷

Mundi is smart, sassy and will steal your heart with her beautiful nature.

She is confident, affectionate and has two speeds, flat out and stop.

When outside she is always on the lookout. She will chase birds, lizards, frogs and anything that moves, but will stop when you say ‘drop it’. She loves to play fetch and tug of war.

When she comes inside, she relaxes and goes to sleep. She does believe that she belongs on the lounge and on your bed but has learned that those areas are for special treats and cuddles.

Mundi is not a yapper and will only alert you if it is required.

Mundi loves to run and swim. She even ducks her head to chase fish.

Mundi is selective with other dogs, prefering the boys, especially if she has to share her things with them. She loves children. She has learned to sit and wait for dinner with her foster brother.

Mundi loves the car and if she can’t go for a drive, she has no problem asking the neighbours to take her, she is the epitome of a community dog, loved and known by everyone.

You will need a dog proof yard as she will want to get out and explore. She does have great recall. She will renovate the garden looking for a cool spot to lay.

This little girl is special and deserves a home that is going to lavish attention on her and take her out on country to explore. Mundi is a lot of dog, in an adorable, small clever package.

Meet Norbu 🐾

Norbu is a fun-loving, energetic young dog who is ready to take on the world. Full of life and enthusiasm, he brings a playful energy into every day and absolutely thrives when he has space to move, explore and burn off that youthful spirit.

He adores being around people and is especially happy when he has kids to play with. Whether it’s a game in the yard or simply being part of the daily routine, Norbu enjoys connection and being included in family life. He has a bright, curious nature and loves to keep busy, making him a great companion for an active household.

Norbu would do best in a home that can offer him plenty of room to run and play. A secure yard and a lifestyle that includes regular exercise will help him grow into a well-balanced adult dog. He is currently used to having freedom to roam and will benefit from guidance and structure as he continues to learn.

He has shown a tendency to chase cats, so a cat-free home would be best. With people, he is friendly and social, making him a lovely addition to a home that enjoys having a dog as part of the action.

His family is making the difficult decision to rehome him due to upcoming travel and living arrangements that no longer allow them to give him the space and lifestyle he truly deserves. They are committed to finding him a home where he can continue to thrive.

If you’re looking for a happy, active companion who will bring energy and joy into your life, Norbu could be the one.

Nori found herself in the pound with her 3 puppies, Nacho, Noodle and Nugget, but they were given a lifeline (or 4!) and each secured a safe place in foster care. Nacho and Noodle have since left for their new homes but Nori and Nugget are still waiting patiently.

Nori did an amazing job raising her chunky little babies, but it left her a little drained. Luckily for her there's no shortage of food in foster carer and she's bounced back to her pre baby body. 😉

Nori is the sweetest lady and just loves affection! She cannot get enough love, she'll lap it up for as long as you're willing to dish it out. She's currently in care with other dogs and she loves to play with someone who can match her energy. She does really love her people though and if going to a home with another dog they'll need to be happy to share the love because Nori is not interested in being pushed to the sidelines, she wants to be the star of ten show! 🤩

If you'd like to find out more about Nori and chat with her carer or set up a meet, please send through an adoption application.

Oscar and his brother from another mother are on the look out for a new family. They've lived together for the last 5 years and are great companions, keeping each other company while their family work long hours. They'd be happy to move to another home together as an instant family but they know how hard it is to find homes for 2 dogs so they're willing to split up and go seperate ways if needed.

Oscar has lived with other male dogs of medium and small size and gets along well with them so he'd really enjoy a home with another doggy companion who can keep him entertained when you're not around to give him your attention. He a super affectionate boy who loves cuddles and thinks he's a lap dog! He'd love a family that can include him as part of their family and give him all the love that he deserves.

I'm in PERTH 🏙️

Peanut was found living life as a stray kitten at a workers camp. She was fortunate enough that someone special cared enough to give her a chance. Not only did her rescuer want her to live a better life, she actually ensured she did and followed through with making sure Peanut git exactly what she needed. Her rescue flew Peanut back to Perth with her, where they have lived happily together ever since.

It's not a complete happy ending though, well not just yet, she's still on the lookout for her permanent home and would love nothing more than to finally find her own family. She has lived with other cats so doesn't mind if she's your only one, or part of a bigger cat crew. 🐈

Whilst Peanut may have started life on the wild side, you'd never know it now! She thoroughly enjoys cuddles, curling up on your lap and getting all the pats a good girl deserves. She even enjoys making biscuits on her foster parents bed, but don't worry, there's no spilt flour to worry about. 😉

If you'd like to know more about Peanut and chat with her foster carer, please fill out a no obligation adoption enquiry and we'll get you connected. ☎️

Pecan Pie and Peach Pie are the last of the pie babies to find homes, but they are just as sweet as their siblings that have already been adopted!

They were born to a stray cat who was taken in by a loving family who cared for them and their Mum until they were weaned. Mum has a home with the people who found her and has now been desexed so she will no longer continue the breeding cycle, and her beautiful babies will never be in the position she was.

Pecan Pie isn't asking for much, just a safe home where she will be loved and carerd for like she deserves, in return she'll shower you with love and affection and you'll never feel lonely with her by your side. 🩷

Rip and Reef entered our care via the pound so we don't have any history on them. We're not sure who their parents are or what type of life they lived before entering our care, but they are so loved now! Reef went and got herself adopted without even being advertised and now we need to find Rip a home of her own.

She's currently fostered with 4 young children, cats and dogs so she's getting very well socialised. She's not bothered by the cats and tends to leave them alone but will say hi if they initiate contact. She loves the company of other dogs! She can be a little cautious of new larger dogs so appreciates a slower paced introduction instead of being pounced on straight up, but she really enjoys playtime with other dogs and loves to snuggle up with them for a nap.

When she's not supervised inside she has a crate and pen to sleep in which she likes. She'll whine when she's awake letting you know that she's ready for a play and a wee break. She's still learning though and will use the puppy pads in there if she doesn't get let out in time. She'll need a family that understands puppies need time and commitment to help them learn all the new skills.

Rip loves to be part of the action where ever her family are, be it by the pool supervising the kids and sneaking some of their snacks or curdled up in a lap on the couch. She'd love to join a family that will include her in their daily life and allow her inside/outside access and take her on adventures.

Rip is currently fostered in the Port Hedland area and can be viewed after an application has been received. If you're further away we can arrange a phone call with her carers instead.

Samson has been living it up in foster care, but now it's time for him to find a family of his very own.

This lovely boy is full of energy, love and personality! He’s playful, fun and always ready to be part of the action. He loves making new doggy friends at the beach and would love to be included on your adventures.

He’s great with kids and would make a fantastic companion for a family with older children that won't be easily knocked over. He loves games and playtime, and he’d happily help tire the kids out before settling in for cuddles afterwards. Samson thrives with structure and routine and is happiest when he’s close to his people. He would love to find a family that can not only spend lots of time with him and exercise him, but include him with their everyday life.

He's more than just a pretty face, he's smart too! He knows how to sit and stay and would love someone to help guide him further. He's currently working on his lead skills which he has perfected in the backyard but he needs a little more work before he can take those skills to the streets.

Sarem lives with cats and dogs and would be happy to join a family with existing pets to keep her company and help her realise your place is also a safe place.

He might have lost a leg but he sure didn't lose any of his fun personality!

Seren came to us via the pound and he was in terrible shape. His back leg had been broken long before and had healed very badly, it was left dangling and dragging behind him with no use of it all so it would need to be removed. He was also extremely unwell with E.canis and not able to undergo surgery until he was well enough, so we focused on making him comfortable and getting him better as quick as possible so we get that useless leg removed. Adjusting to 3 legs took no time at all because that's the life he had been living for months anyway, there was just less weight to drag around!

Seren has been raised in a foster home with another dog and a couple of cats. It has taken a while for him to settle down with the cats but he's getting there. He still likes to give them a little chase but he understands all about their claws and he's learnt to respect their boundaries when they say enough is enough!

He loves having another dig around that he can play with and keep him company at home and on adventures. He loves the beach and has shown some strong recall skills, returning to his carers and staying close by their side.... Most of the time.

We just adore Seren and we're looking forward to him finding his happily ever after like he deserves, could it be with you?

If you’d like to meet Seren, simply send through an adoption application and we can arrange a meet and greet.

Simon is the gentle genius of the Chipmunks — thoughtful, observant, and endlessly endearing. He watches the world with big, curious eyes, taking everything in before joining the fun with quiet confidence. He’s playful without being chaotic, affectionate without being demanding, and sweet in that way that sneaks up on you.

Simon loves soft toys, cosy naps, and being close to his people. He’s the kind of kitten who forms deep bonds and brings a calm, loving presence to any home. If you’re after a companion with a tender heart and a clever little mind, Simon is your boy.

She might be small but she's packing a whole lot of fun in that little body. If you're looking for a smaller dog but want something a little hardier and robust, this could be the lady of your dreams.

We can't be sure of her exact breeds but it's suspected there is some Jack Russell in there and we can definitely see that coming through in her personality. She's full of fun and would love a home that has the time, energy and commitment to kick start her training and help her become the best little version of herself. We know she'll be an amazing dog with the right family and she's already learning sit and some recall, though she'll need lots of positive reinforcements to continue fine-tuning. She loves food and is a smart little cookie so with some time and patience we know she'll be wowing people with her skills.

At this stage we would recommend no young kids in the home purely because she is so energetic and may be too much for them to handle, and she'd also benefit from a calmer environment to work on her training.

Sirena loves water and would thrive in an active home that will fill her life with adventures and love. She's not just looking for somewhere to live, she's looking for a home where she is part of the family and included in all aspects of your life. She's a social girl and loves to meet other dogs and play, even if they're much larger than her. She would best fit a home with another doggy companion that can keep up with her energetic playful ways.

Because we don't know her exact breeds we can't confidentially say what size she will be as an adult, but we're guessing on the bigger side of small and the smaller size of medium. 😂 But as with all mixed breeds, you'll need to be a little forgiving should she grow a little more or a little less than anticipated.

Sirena is currently located in the Port Hedland area in a foster home and is available for meet and greets once an application has been submitted. If you're out of town we can arrange a phone call with her carer.

**THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM**

Hi, I'm HD2827 Tomodachi!
My foster mum calls me Tomo
I'm a full-on dude who gets on well with other dogs and loves to play.
I've been returned twice to the pound due to being unfulfilled and in need of a bit more attention than anyone has been willing to give me (but I'm not asking for that much).
Back in care, I promise I've been no problem when given some grace to be myself (a dog).

Some of the things I like to do in my spare time:
Chewing on sticks and palm fronds
Digging shallow holes to keep cool
Playing with the sprinkler, I absolutely LOVE the water.

If you have a fancy garden, I will probably try and redecorate it to suit me.
Don't let my sad past fool you, I am full of love and want to be friends with everyone I meet!
I'm not scared of anything, big storms and rain don't bother me!
You can feed me by hand without losing a finger, and I've recently discovered the joy of a big juicy bone!
I've learned pretty quickly that jumping up doesn’t make me very popular, but my new family will have to keep working on that with me.
My foster mum said I am super intelligent, confident and independent, all I need is more time and a dedicated hooman who doesn't mind if I don't listen ALL the time.

I am a bit of a chunky shar pei mix, mum says I'm almost fully grown now and will stay a large-medium size, but apparently I need to lose a couple of kg.

Mum says my ear are painted on, and I'm "an energetic dog with super independent personality traits who hasn’t been trained or stimulated and has entertained myself".
She says I will suit someone who likes a bit of challenge. Definitely not an inexperienced first time owner or someone who isn’t prepared for my ultra-independence. She says I'm probably too stubborn and ignorant for someone who wants a dog to take camping or do leisurely off leash beach walks, but on a long leash I'd LOVE to go out more.
My extra bounce makes me too big and silly for small or timid children, so only older kids and teens please!
I think I have oodles of character, if you want a dog who can think for themselves and make you laugh with my shenanigans, look no further!

Tomo is looking for someone to love and provide for him, and to help him continue to grow into the beautiful boy we know he can be.
If you think he would fit into your life, please fill out an enquiry to meet him!

The beautiful Velvet found herself living pregnant and living on the streets. She managed to find a safe place to have her babies with a family who cared for them as long as they could. Then her family was passed over to the rangers where they could then enter the carer of SAFE.

2 of her babies were adopted together before they were even advertised, now it's just Velevt and Voodoo left looking for their homes. Velvet has now finished feeding her babies and we're giving her a little time to rest before she's desexed. No more babies for her! Once she's desexed she'll be ready to join a family of her own.

Black cats are often overlooked for multiple reasons, but Velvet is a real beauty! She's a fluff ball with the cutest squishy face and we really hope someone will adopt her soon and love her like she deserves.

She is not shy in the slightest and will walk into any new home Luke she's always been there. She loves pats and attention and just wants a comfy home to retire in. So far she hasn't been the biggest fan of the resident cat, but that may be due to having her babies with her when she arrived. She'd be more than happy to join a home as an only cat, but could possibly go to a home with an existing cat if there is a slow introduction.

By adopting through SAFE you'll allow us to keep taking cats off the street and help stop the overpopulation of cats in Heland. We can't do this without you!

Discounted adoption fee - $120. Let's find Veya a home of her own! 🏡

Veya came to us via the pound and initially requested a single cat household only, but sometimes that's not possible. We are bursting at the seams and couldn't give into her demands so she's been mingling with some other cats. She does like to be the boss and likes having extra food bowls around so she doesn't need to share, but we can't blame her for that, we don't like sharing food either!

She's bonding quite with the resident kitten, Crud, and they somed many hours rough playing and chasing each other around the house. They'd make a great couple if black cats are your vibe and you're looking to start an instant family. She'd be more than happy to go back to being a solo cat though and having you all to herself.

Veya is super affectionate and will happily come for cuddles and rub herslef all over you, she also enjoys snuggling in bed and loves to be tucked under the blanket. She is a keen biscuit maker and also loves to suck on fluffy blankets or toys, so be prepared for a doggy blanket or dressing gown. 😂

She's part of a busy house with kids, cats and dogs and she'll use her voice to let you know if something is upsetting her. There are no sneak attacks from this lady, she'll give a growl to let you know if something is bothering her and then continue to go about her day. She originally came to us with a strong dislike of other cats, but unfortunately space is very limited so she's had to adjust to living with lots of other cats. She's done really well and actually enjoys a good play fight with a younger kitten, but she'd definitely be happy to go to a home on her own where she can go back to being the queen she truely wants to be.

Veya is strictly an indoor cat, but despite knowing this she continues to push the boundaries and the doors to escape. She doesn't get far and just enjoys a nibble on the grass and a roll on the dirt, but to make sure the wildlife are kept safe from her hunting ways she needs to either be in a home where people are fast getting in and out of the house or provide her with a secure catio where she can live her best life baking in the sunshine safely whilst also having full access to the house.

If you're local to the Port Hedland are we can arrange a meet and greet with her once an application has been sent through, but if you're further away we can set up phone call with her carers.

Voodoo was born to a stray Mum, Velvet, who found a safe place to have her babies. They were lucky enough to find their way to SAFE where their future will be much better than the life they were destined for on the streets.

Her two brothers have been adopted and she finds herself left behind, she'd really love to find a home of her own while she's still a kitten and can grow up with her new family.

Voodoo can be a little shy in new situations and needs a little patience while she gets comfortable in her new surroundings. The world can be a scary place when you're a tiny kitten without your family to help guide you. Right now shed prefer a home without dogs as she finds them a little too overwhelming.

If you're local to Hedland we can arrange a meet and greet with Voodoo, or a phone call with her carer if you're further away, we just need an application sent through first.

Waffles and Biscuit are two adorable little brothers who have been hand raised by a lovely family and now they're ready to start their next chapter in homes of their own. They'd be more than happy to set off in their next adventure together as a ready made pair, but they can be separated if you're only looking to add one more baby to your family.

These guys have been raised in a busy household with kids, cats and dogs so they're very well socialised and and will slot right into any home.

If you would like to meet them or arrange a phone call with their foster carer we can arrange that once an application has been submitted.

The perfect duo - Ziggy and Zoodle. If you're looking for an instant family then perhaps these two brothers could be the one for you. They've spent their entire lives together and absolutely adore each other so they would be thrilled to be adopted together and continue spending their days cuddled up together. They know it's hard for bonded pairs to get adopted together though, so they are willing to go seperate ways so they can find their new homes quicker. They're adaptable and will be ok without each other but would really like to have company of another cat as they're are social creatures and 2 cats is always better than one!

Ziggy is a curious kitten and will seek out adventures, one minute he's full of beans and will tear around the house doing zoomies and the next minute hell be crashed out hard. He loves to climb up high if given the chance, so tall cat scratchers are appreciated. He's an affectionate little bug and once he's burned off his energy he's quite calm and loves to snuggle.

If you’re ready to welcome this dynamic duo into your life, or just the one, send through an adoption application and we can arrange a meet and greet 💙

Zoodle has been patiently waiting for a home alongside his brother Ziggy. They've been in care for almost their whole life and whilst they're happy and safe in foster care, they'd really love to find a home of their own soon.

Since they've been together their whole lives, Ziggy and Zoodle have formed a close bond which means of you're looking to add 2 cats to your home these guys would be perfect! But they know it's hard for a bonded pairs to find a home together and they're realistic in knowing it's not likely, so they're happy to go seperate ways and join different families if it means they'll finally have a home of their own.

Zoodle lives to play, zooming around the house exploring and jumping. But when it's time for a rest he's happy to snuggle up with his brother or a human for some love and relaxation.

If you’re ready to welcome this dynamic duo into your life, or just the one of them, send through an adoption application and we can arrange a meet and greet 💙
